Hello all,
Just wanted to let you know I have moved my entire free wordpress blog (1nceinalifetime.wordpress.com) over to this hosted blog (translation: not free anymore, baby). I am now calling the blog Home School Observations, but that might be temporary. It took only a few minutes of electrical technology and wizardry to move all the posts, photos, comments, categories…you name it, over to this new site.
I hope to be posting more, but no promises. I am still trying to figure out how to make money blogging, and this is a first step, to get it into a form where I could monetize the site. It was not possible over at the free blog. Regardless, it is a fascinating adventure and I am learning new things daily. No money yet, except a negative cash flow as I learn you gotta spend money to make it!
I will be doing Twitter updates more often and have a Twitter feed installed on the front page of the blog, so that would be one way to stay up on our family news.
Interesting Diane. The idea of blogging bringing in some income. Its sure something that is happening. How to get it to happen…how to show up on search engines etc…I recently heard that there are techie people with zero integrity who’ve figured out how to make fake sites that show up high on search engines long enough to sell a bunch of advertising and get a bunch of hits…which earns the guy a bunch of money for nothing except clever programming and rips off people who are legitimately seeking to exchange information. Hopefully technology can work so that someone with high integrity and real content can be successful also.

Hi Kate, yes it is very interesting and what you have heard about is called black hat internet marketing, something I am not interested in doing. I am going to be experimenting to see what I can do to have this blog bring in income. I don’t really know how it will go, but I am taking steps. Nice to hear from you. When I figure out how to get my blogroll back in my sidebar, I will put a link to your blog and to Madronna’s, too. Diane
